BROWN FERGUSON AFTER ANNAN ATHLETIC MATCH
The most important thing for Scott & I tonight was the way the players applied themselves, looking at the game Annan started very well and took the game to us which is what we expected, but we created a great number of chances and the scoreline could have been so different if not for their goalkeeper and so very stout defending by a strong and physical defence, we must take great heart from the fact we were stronger in the last thirty minutes, that was the first time we have played Annan we know what to expect from them, the momentum in the last thirty minutes was definitely in our favour, we will now bring them back to our own park which is an astroturf pitch which will be different for them but we are very positive about Saturday, we will look to get the ball down and play, we have home advantage and hopefully we can get a good number of fans back to support us and encourage the players to victory, that would certainly help the players the fans made a long journey tonight down to Annan in midweek and I would like to thank them for their backing, but our aim objective has not changed – to make sure Alloa Athletic progress to the Play-off final and ultimately secure our Second Division status – this is not about Brown Ferguson or Scott Walker it is about making sure we as a club and playing Second Division football next season.
