jim goodwin after home draw with queens park
It was a frustrating afternoon having started the game so well and getting the early goal, we seemed to stop playing for some reason and didn’t seem to click today, so it is a bit disappointing but really pleased with the team spirit and togetherness to keep going right until the end and to take something from the game it would have been very easy to lose the game, we keep going until the end we through everything but the kitchen sink at them in the end.
The goals we lost were disappointing; we should clear our lines for the first one and for the second one we gave the ball away cheaply 25 yards from goal and it was a last ditch tackle, so it was a penalty and the referee was right to give it. Disappointed yes but I think it is a bit of a reality check for one or two at the club, players and supporters as well, because the boys had won 6 out of their last 8 games, we have been on a great run the players are doing well and we are doing our best to try and compete with the two full-time clubs at the top of the table, very difficult to compete with full time teams but we will keep going right till the end and delighted to take something from the game
