“We’ve done it all season when we’ve had a wee setback and we’ve definitely bounced back today with a really good performance and a deserved victory I think. We played well, passed it well and we had to change the shape because we had a few injuries. Church called off last night and Scougall was injured but with the change in personnel and shape there’s great credit to everybody.
Quinn’s goal today, I think he’s tried to cross it and possibly win a corner off the defender and he’s got lucky but I’ve said it to him for weeks now to keep working hard and his luck will change. The goals will come. And he’s had a few chances today and I’m delighted to see him get a bit of luck. He deserves it.
We look at the opposition and the personnel we’ve got available – [the tactics] were changed at the last minute last night and it worked well but it’s not to say it will work again next week. Clyde are fighting for their lives – they got an excellent point today against Queen of the South. Every game in this league is good and everyone has something to play for – that’s the good thing about our league. We know Clyde will come and make it very difficult – we drew 2-2 back in Hamilton.
But the boys can go home very pleased with their efforts today. A great win and three points.”
