The Wasps season goes from strength to strength, this time recording their tenth straight victory this season, which again is an achievement which will go down in history. Jack Ross’s team faced East Fife for the second consecutive home match after defeating then 2-1 a fortnight ago, on this ocassion a 3-0 scoreline suggests it might have been more straightforward but East Fife had great chances within the game and although Alloa were 2-0 ahead, a penalty awarded to the visitors on 37 minutes could have changed the game but Scott Robinson put his kick high over the bar, thereafter the lethal striker Greig Spence extended “The Wasps” lead just prior to half time and there was no comeback for the team from Methil. The draw for the next round will be made on Tuesday 6th September, 2016.
