    Queen's clinch double

    Queen's Park Under 17's clinched a League and Cup double today after defeating "The Wasps" 4-1 in todays Youth League Cup Final played at Lesser Hampden Park, Glasgow. The Wasps got off to the best possible start when Scott Gallagher fired them ahead inside five minutes, but they found it difficult to build on their ealy lead although they did have good chances, with Gallagher again and strike partner Greig Smith going close. Paul Ronald's side equalised after 20 minutes when Kieran Blackwood scored and ten minutes later Owen Ronald, son of  coach Paul Ronald made it 2-1 for the home side. A long ball to the back post beat Alloa keeper Scott Carden, hich was played back in for Ross Barbour to tap in. At this stage of the game and with Alloa committing players forward a clearance from defence struck the referee on the face and the ball deflected into the path of Kieran Blackwood to score his second goal of the game and clinch the trophy for Queen's Park.
