    Draw at Glebe Park

    Saturday, February 06, 2010 6:05:24 PM

A draw against Brechin City at Glebe Park for ourselves, while league leaders Cowdenbeath lost 3-1 at home to Peterhead have moved us now just behind Danny Lennon's side on goal difference at the top of the league and will meet them on Tuesday night at Recreation Park. The playing surface at Glebe Park today was very heavy with players finding it difficult at times to stay on their feet. Stuart Noble gave The Wasps the lead only two minutes into the second half for his fifth goal of the season. Alloa had suffered a blow earlier in the game when Scot Buist had to leave field after only 25 minutes and Mark Brown had to move into a deeper defensive role. Brechin City came strongly back at Alloa after losing the opening goal and their top goalscorer Rory McAllister was rewarded with fifteen minutes left when he scored a deserved equalising goal for the home side.
