Alloa Athletic manager Allan Maitland has again strengthened his squad in the January window, by signing striker David Gormley from Ayr United until the end of this season, despite interest from other interested Scottish Football teams David has agreed to join “The Wasps”. Both David Gormley and Bryan Prunty will be available for tomorrow’s Irn Bru Scottish Football League Division Two game against local rivals Stenhousemuir at Ochilview and along with 18 year old Welsh Internationist left back James Bloom, who has joined on a months loan from Premier league side Falkirk, the three players could make their Alloa Athletic league debuts. Brian Carrigan has been made available for transfer, to allow him to play regular first team football after the arrival of Prunty and Gormley, while Alloa Athletic have at the same time released Mark Ferguson and Stevie Barker who are both currently playing with Shotts Bon Accord. Hugh Kerr will be going on loan to Sauchie Juniors during the month of February to give him a run of first team football.
