    Youth Players On Move

    Monday, January 18, 2010 4:48:50 PM

Callum Wyllie who is another player who has progressed through the youth system at Recreation Park, has signed for Glasgow Rangers. Callum Wyllie is 15 years old, he joined Alloa Athletic in the summer of 2007 at the age of 12 when he was brought to the club by coach Tam McPake for the Under 14 squad. He played this season for the Under 16’s and Under 17’s and also made an appearance for the first team in the summer at the victorious Oban Keyline Tournament, making his appearance against Oban Saints. Callum plays up front and has now joined Rangers Under 17’s, moving to a full time contract when he finishes school later this year. He had a spell training at Murray Park last year and Rangers dutifully followed up and signed him in the correct and appropriate manner ahead of Hearts who also wished to sign him.
Two other young youth players have also moved to Heart of Midlothian, Chris Black a striker and Liam McCrory a midfield player, both are 13, have signed on the dotted line at Tynecastle. The club has been reimbursed appropriately for these youngsters and we wish all three players every success in the future at their new clubs.
