    PFA Awards 2019

    The PFA Scotland annual awards dinner took place at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Sunday evening. This was an evening to enjoy after securing the club's position in SPFL Championship for next season at Somerset Park the previous day.

    Congratulations to club captain Andy Graham who was selected for the SPFL Championship Team of the Year for 2019. The full team was:- Scott Fox (Ross County), Marcus Fraser (Ross County), Andy Graham (Alloa Athletic), Michael Rose (Ayr Utd), Liam Smith (Ayr Utd), Aaron Doran (Inverness CT), Liam Polworth (Inverness CT), Jamie Lindsay (Ross County), Michael Gardyne (Ross County), Stephen Dobbie (QOS) & Lawrence Shankland (Ayr Utd).
     
     
    Queen of the South striker Stephen Dobbie was also awarded the SPFL Championship Player of the Year having scored 40 goals this season for Queen of the South.
     
    Alloa Athletic manager Jim Goodwin was delighted to be named in the shortlist  for the GMB Scotland Manager of the Year award, the other contenders were Steve Clarke (Kilmarnock), Dick Campbell (Arbroath), Steve Ferguson & Stuart Kettlewell (Ross County). The award went to Steve Clarke (Kilmarnock) who has transformed Kilmarnock since taking over the reins in October, 2017 when they were bottom of the Premier League.
