    Wasps up to third

    Sunday, December 10, 2017 4:26:41 PM

A Kris Renton double saw "The Wasps" get back on track with a vital three league points before going into a very busy festive season. Losing our last two matches 2-1 to the top two sides in the division in itself might not be too surprising but in both games the players deserved more out of the games as the team didn't play badly and on another day would have picked up points.

PJ Crossan caused problems for Forfar defence
Prior to the match Iain Flannigan was ruled out with a virus infection  and striker Kris Renton started the match, his first start since 14th October v. Stranraer at Stair Park. PJ Crossan was causing the Forfar defence problems with his pace and Forfar defender Jamie Bain went into the referee's book after only two minutes.

In an extremely cold day at Station Park chances were at a premium, Dylan Easton came close with a shot which struck the woodward before Andy Graham's header was cleared off the line.
