    Three players out on loan

    Manager Jim Goodwin tonight allowed three young Alloa Athletic players to go out on loan to gain first team football. Striker, John Cunningham, who was rewarded with a Pro Contract after scoring 27 goals for the Development Team last season, has joined Annan Athletic on a Development Loan until 4th January, 2018.

    Steven Smith, the captain of the Development Team, who can operate in defence or midfield, now aged 20 and in his sixth season at the club, moves to Wishaw Juniors also in a Development Loan until 4th January, 2018. Wishaw play in the Central District League First Division where they finished 6th last season.

    The third player, who moves to Moor Park, with Lanark United, is Ronan Kearney, who moves on a season long Development Loan until 30th June, 2018. Ronan who is 18, can operate as a left back or as a striker. He returns to Lanark United where he ended up as the club's top goalscorer last season with 15 goals.

    The club wishes all three players the best of luck during their period away from Indodrill Stadium, hoping that the opportunity to gain regular first team football will help gain valuable experience for their future in the game.
